Joan and Melissa were filming, throwing out Ryan’s own schedule for E! news, and called into the studio to talk about Emmys fashion. Ryan had his own red carpet fashion near-miss:

Ryan talked about the show that goes on during the commercial breaks when a star has to wait a couple of minutes, and said that his voice did not rest and his fingers were typing all weekend.
Paris Hilton
Paris was arrested for possession of cocaine, but Ken Baker wanted to talk about her hair! He also told Ryan the details of the arrest and the charges against her and her boyfriend.
Ryan and Randy
Ryan and Randy were holding hands, certain that they’d continue their streak of losing to the Amazing Race. Apparently they’ve broken up over it … but they were so beautiful together! Ryan’s obviously clueless; it’s nothing to do with the Emmys — Randy’s upset that Ryan was sleeping with a three-ring binder last week.
Parents in town
Ryan was out with his parents at weekend and saw Fergie then his mom met the ‘god of all gods’ who Ryan (wrongly) said is the one guy all women of all ages want to run in to. I couldn’t think of anyone who fit the description, but Ellen had a few suggestions, eventually coming up with the answer: David Beckham. I don’t get Ryan’s obsession with him; Becks is a well-styled average-looking guy. Very sweet, and much brighter than he sometimes sounds, but I don’t see the appeal. Connie did get to meet Neil Patrick Harris too, which is pretty cool!
Man on a Mission
Ryan’s sending Roger on an assignment: he’s going to the Jimmy Kimmel set to interview the Dancing with the Stars cast who are being announced on The Bachelor Pad tonight. It’s going to be videoed and Ryan will play audio on the show tomorrow.
Lazy Susan
I have no idea who Susan is or how she got a reputation for being lazy, but Ryan said Neil Patrick Harris pulled one on him at the Emmys.
