Jimmy Fallon
Jimmy is hosting the Emmys this weekend so he and Ryan talked about the show, and the after party which Ryan said he’s going to. Jimmy wanted to have the after party on one of Ryan’s yachts … Ryan said if he looked like the girl who was with him, yes! Jimmy was all up for inviting her; he likes her she’s talented. Ryan agreed, adding ‘in so many ways!’
Lionel Richie
Yesterday Ryan was trying to do a bit of matchmaking for Elin Nordegren, and after the votes were in and he’d dimmed the lights, the winner was Lionel Richie! Ryan got him on the phone in Chile to tell him the good news. Ryan loves Lionel like we love Ryan! For all the same reasons, though I think it would be fair to say that Ryan’s the better singer.
Weekend
The week is going by quickly. Ryan has a lot to do and his parents are coming into town this weekend.
Taylor who?
Ryan talked about Taylor Lautner being banned from his shows yesterday, and today talked about all the artists who do want to be on the show and then had a meeting with Amy during the commercial because he wanted to make an early escape. Ryan’s a busy guy, but it sounds like he squeezes in meetings anyplace he can!
Brazilian Thunder
Ryan was on Brazilian Thunder Juice for his breakfast. Someone from E! must have heard, as he tweeted this later in the day.

The heat’s affecting Ryan’s sleep
Ryan’s struggling to sleep in the hot weather but he doesn’t want to put the AC on too much in case he gets sick. Last night he tried to go to bed after dinner, but tossed and turned until about 2, then got angry and threw his alarm across the room. Ryan described his bed as something like a mobile office with an iPad, a phone with a headset, his show prep, blackberry, and binders for his red carpet show. At 2:48 he said he rolled over and in the side of his thigh he felt a very stiff push and wondered what the hell was in his bed … and he even posted a photo so he could show the world what he banged last night: Ryan Reveals His Stiff Bed Companion [PHOTO] If you’ve been wondering what Ryan’s keeping in his closet, it’s a coffee machine … with a fax machine just outside his bedroom.
Tipping
Someone called in to say he’s afraid of tipping, leading to a conversation about how much it’s appropriate to tip and whether or not you should include wine when working out the percentage.
Who should pay?
Ryan’s question for the universe was how often should a guy pay on a date. Ryan likes to pay for dinner all the time, but appreciates it when his girlfriend does sweet things for him.
Ryan Seacrest Foundation
Ryan said he wants to do the whole day on the radio some time to raise money for charity. He has just launched his Ryan Seacrest Foundation and is going to build multimedia centers in kids’ hospitals around the country in which they’ll be able to make their own TV shows and broadcast to their rooms. Sounds like a great cause!
