Weekend
Ryan and Ellen talked about their weekends. Ryan is going to a birthday party, which he seemed very excited about, then tomorrow he is attending the Creative Emmys where he has nominations for hosting Idol and his production company’s show with Jamie Oliver. That’s followed by a hot date with David Beckham, which he’s feeling a little insecure about, and then he’s heading to the new Wolfgang Puck restaurant (what’s he going to do if David wants to take him to an after party?)
Sunday sounds a little more leisurely as he’s taking his sister to lunch … in the evening he can watch one of his own shows as the new series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is on E!

Ellen has the Burbank Vikings first scrimmage, which sounds fun for her but Ryan doesn’t like rehearsals.

Or a Facebook profile, as the question Ryan asked today on his Facebook page and the radio was: Can u tell if somebody is boyfriend or girlfriend material by digging around their facebook?
Hook up
Another question Ryan was asking today is Would you hook up with someone because they’re on a reality show? He was talking about people who aren’t all that attractive but are on TV and got a mixed reaction in his own studio but not so many people in favour on the phones and Facebook.
Who’s the boss?
Dennis told Ryan the boss was coming in to watch … the enthusiasm in Ryan’s voice was underwhelming. The boss picked a good show though: it was awesome.
Work out
Ryan’s workout yesterday extended beyond his initial plans. He was listening to music and he’s in training for something very specific. Ellen said she knows what it is. Ryan said “an action film” but Ellen had been going to guess it was for the red carpet. Ryan added that something else is happening next year, in his work life, and he’s training for it. An action movie sounds great! I even had a dream about that last week … it was starring Tom Cruise with Ryan in the supporting role and it was an action movie with an interesting twist. If it’s not an action movie or a workout show, maybe he’s going to do Dancing with the Stars.
Grass in August
The smell of grass freaks Ryan out … he gets scared.
It’s back to school time in Southern California so Ryan talked to lots of kids who called in talking about what’s hot (or not) now they’re back at school or college. Ryan was reminded of his own clueless first weeks at college.
American Idol
Ryan can’t comment on American Idol judging rumours because of his contract, but that didn’t stop him having Ken Baker on to talk about what he’s heard.
