On Air with Ryan Seacrest 2010-08-11

Harvey Levin

Harvey talked about Stephen Slater from JetBlue — Ryan wanted to know why he hadn’t been fired, but Harvey seemed to have quite a bit of sympathy for his reaction in the face of a rude passenger. He updated Ryan about Fantasia after an accidental medication overdose (she’s been overwhelmed). Harvey then turned it around on Ryan and asked about the Idol judges. His sources tell him that the original three judges spent time together to bond, which didn’t fit with a story Simon had told about meeting Paula at auditions, but when he heard there were strip clubs involved, Ryan was up for bonding with the new judges.

Anna Kendrick

Anna is promoting Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, which is out Friday. It’s based on a graphic novel and involves an unlikely hero having to battle against seven exes to get his girl.

Lady Gaga

Ryan asked Lady Gaga about crowdsurfing at Lollapalooza, her comments about being inspired to write after Prop 8 was overturned, and whether she’ll stay Lady Gaga or reinvent herself.

Weightloss question

Ryan talked about a question he’s been asking a question on facebook: is it rude to tell someone you noticed they’ve lost weight? Some people said that it’s rude to tell someone they’ve lost weight, but Ryan thinks you should always tell people they’ve lost weight, even if they haven’t.

Out in Austin

The On-Air team minus Ryan were out sampling the local nightlife. Ryan talked about food and drink, in particular whether guys lose points for ordering girly drinks. He said girls get points for drinking guy drinks.
