This week’s Rose’s caller has been dating a guy for seven months but is suspicious because won’t tell her what he does for a living. Ryan suspects it might be something top secret and government (I think he probably has a job he’s really embarrassed about!), and even has a secretive friend who owns multiple passports. The guy might be secretive, but he doesn’t appear to be a cheat (or it was a lucky guess) as he sent the roses to the right girl. Ryan didn’t jump in where you’d expect after the spiel ended, leaving Patty hanging!
After the guy went off the phone, without saying what he does, Dennis said he can sort of understand him. He doesn’t like to tell people he works for Ryan because the first thing everyone wants to ask is whether Ryan’s gay. Dennis told Ryan he says “it couldn’t be further from the truth”. Ellen cut in to say “if only they knew!” and, after Ryan squirmed a little and said he tries to keep his personal life off the programme, she added “I keep secrets.” Hilarious!
Ryan gets a little ahead of himself
Ryan ended today’s show saying “What a Friday this has been!” Does that mean someone’s squeezing in time off between Idol Results and Live from the Red Carpet?
Simon in the sleaze again
Ryan said Simon’s all over the sleaze with this rumoured relationship and doesn’t sound convinced that Simon’s engaged despite reports that Simon’s mum Julie has started making plans for the wedding.
