Chris was on to promote The Bachelor on ABC and Ryan told him his new year’s resolution is to appear on the show someday. I’m not sure Ryan realises that he’d have to choose one of the girls and can’t keep them all… Ryan asked Chris whether he’d recommend going on the show to one of his buddies, as a way to find true love. Chris hedged quite well, saying it depends on who the guy is and whether he could handle it. Translation: no, of course I wouldn’t, are you insane! Sex was on Ryan’s mind (the whole show, it seemed … good holiday?) and he quizzed Chris on how much sex was going on that people don’t get to see. Chris thought it was probably less than people thought because there’s not much opportunity. Such a cheesy show! Not that I’m saying that’s a bad thing … I used to watch the UK version and was disappointed when the run ended!
Dr Oz
Ryan’s fat and his ball wasn’t working, so it was lucky he got to talk to Dr Oz on today’s show. Ellen talked about the diet where you don’t eat anything white … Ryan thought there was a joke there. Dr Oz said that wasn’t a bad way to start a diet as it cuts out a lot of foods that are toxic to your liver … Ryan revealed he likes a lot of white stuff. They also talked about the things on Dr Oz’s show this week and Ryan asked him about a topic he’d been arguing about with Ellen: is it possible to have sex with just one person forever without it getting boring or mechanical. Ellen was trying to convince Ryan that changes in the relationship make the sex better but Ryan wasn’t convinced. I must admit, I’m not either! I thought Ryan was a bit of a romantic though, so I’m surprised he’s not got a bit of that rose-tainted optimism about it.
Ryan’s Roses
The return of Ryan’s Roses … the usual thing, some guy does something suspicious, a woman emails the show, Patty makes a call and the guy sends the roses to someone else then says he isn’t cheating.
Ryan’s New Year’s Eve
Ryan answered the question we all had after hearing his plans for a New Year’s kiss: did he get to Jennifer Lopez before Marc Anthony did? Ah. No. Marc Anthony got to Ryan first … Happy New Year with a smooch from Marc, then they had dinner together.
