Wrong Number Miracle
This one just makes me want to say “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus” … though in this case, Virginia IS the Santa Claus. Getting to hear about everyday examples of kindness is one of my favourite things about listening to Ryan’s show! In this story, a woman left a message on a stranger’s answerphone by mistake, saying that she would be sending her daughter money for groceries, but saying that she’d have to miss a mortgage payment to do it. The woman who received the message decided to help out and buy the daughter enough groceries not only for Thanksgiving, but until her next pay day. So good to hear about stuff like this — thanks Ryan for sharing!

Tiger Woods
Ryan played a clip that is supposed to be Tiger Woods leaving a message on a woman’s answerphone and a clip of Tiger on the phone talking to him and asked people if they thought it was Tiger on the first clip or not. I don’t much care, though the process of comparing the clips could be quite interesting. He took quite a few calls from people giving an opinion on whether it’s Tiger or not … honestly I wasn’t listening too closely, but I got the impression it was a mixed response.
Sur La what?
Ryan told a story of a visit to Sur La Table and going into the cooking class at the back where they made something with butternut squash. Ellen pulled him up and wanted to know who he’d gone with as he’d only have gone to something like that with his mom, his sister, or a date. Ryan said he was there with Sarah who’ll be at the party on Friday … Ellen tried to dig out the gossip, but then Ryan disappointed everyone by giving up the tease and telling Ellen that Sarah is Adam Sher’s wife. Ryan said he hasn’t had time to think about a date, but wasn’t ruling it out just yet!
