On his radio show today, Ryan talked about 12 Days of Giving, a campaign they’re running in December to raise money for local organisations. Each day Ryan will tweet out about a local organisation with information about the kind of help that organisation would like. Sounds like a fantastic idea — I hope that gets a lot of support. Ryan offered to send Kristin a picture of him … she asked for a shirtless one. Girl’s got taste ;-) Ryan asked her about going back on The Hills and how she felt she came off. After quizzing her about whether she’s sweet or high maintenance and whether she’s romantic, Ryan told her she needs to date guys with substance … before offering her $10k to charity if she would spend a night with Jon Gosselin.
Seacrest’s a skin saviour
Ryan said he’d received an email from a girl called Michelle whose bad skin is ruining her life. Michelle had heard Ryan pay bills for KIIS FM listeners, but she didn’t have the money to pay up front, and therefore wasn’t eligible for the ‘pays your bills’, so she sent an email asking for help getting her skin lasered. Ryan sounded as though he really empathised, and talked to a doctor at Beverly Hills Physicians who is going to diagnose Michelle’s condition and treat her for free! I loved listening to this segment and I think it’s particularly good to hear about an individual getting helped — and to listen to the actual person whose life will hopefully be improved as a result of Ryan’s intervention.

Leighton called in to talk about the KIIS FM Jingle Ball After Party at Club NOKIA this Saturday where she will perform her single.
Thanksgiving woes
Ryan and Ellen both had a few problems over Thanksgiving. Ellen had a mix up because she thought her family was going to a friend’s place for the holidays, but it turned out she’d got the wrong holiday … so they ended up without any plans and had to find something at the last minute. Ryan’s story was even worse … his Blackberry crashed, leaving him out of touch. Ryan’s Blackberry troubles didn’t end there … after he got a replacement, Ryan discovered that Blackberrys and two-year-olds don’t mix as his godson decided to throw his new berry into the fireplace and he had to dive in and rescue it. Poor Ryan!
Secret Santa
A caller wanted to know what to do as she’s got to do Secret Santa at work for the one girl that she can’t stand. Ryan’s funniest bit of advice was to buy clothing two sizes too large. It’d be funny if Ryan gets a call after Christmas from a distraught listener who’s upset about her weight because a colleague bought her clothing several sizes too large…

Don’t ask a guy
A girl called in to ask Ryan for advice because she’d hooked up with her best guy friend of ten years, but Ryan didn’t seem to think that should be a problem.
