Another survey
I saw this survey on a UK site recently and wondered if Ellen would talk about it on the show! Apparently guys don’t find skinny women attractive, the results of this test indicating that they preferred normal-sized girls to size zero celebrities. Ryan did a quick survey around the room and the guys there seem to prefer normal-sized girls. Ryan said guys probably feel more confident with a normal-sized girl, but likes his girls to look sick … but he said he’s joking. Ellen seems confused by Ryan changing his mind so he suggested she does a study on him. I like that idea!
It’s great that guys have more sense, but if I’m being totally honest, I’d like to be a size zero! It’s not going to happen so long as pizza and cookies exist in this world, but from a body image point of view, I definitely see it as an ideal.
Workplace bullying
Ryan took a call about workplace bullying from a woman who goes home crying and is thinking about leaving her job because her colleagues are unbearable. Follow up calls came from both sides of the bullying divide, but I really don’t get where people get off thinking it’s okay to be abusive towards others. It’s never okay!
Feminist housewife
There were repeats of a call and discussion about a woman who’d always been an independent, feminist type talking about her friends’ reactions to her becoming a housewife and loving it. I don’t see the problem — if it suits them both, what does it matter what other people think.

Funny dude … but why no Ryan? He read a passage from New Moon … but it just made me miss Ryan! Ryan makes the readings fun and entertaining … this was just meh.
