Jamie Foxx
Jamie was on the show to promote his movie Law Abiding Citizen, which is out today.
Timbaland
Ryan asked Tim how it felt to be releasing music and the process he went through for the album. Tim thought it was great that people could hear it now and said the album had started with ideas, though he was skeptical at times that he could pull everything off because of everyone’s scheduled and whether or not people would want to work with him.
Ryam played the new single: Morning After Dark and talked with Timbaland about the singer SoShy.
Balloon Boy
Ryan was obsessed with the Balloon Boy incident on today’s show and said he’d been dying to talk about it. I’m not sure where I stand on the hoax issue … I generally like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but if it was a publicity stunt, I hope someone gives them a reality check rather than the reality show they’ve reportedly been shopping around for. I could have lived without Ryan playing clips of the kid vomiting! At least he’s in one piece. Had to laugh at the BBC’s piggyback headline today… Balloon boy gets note from Queen

Leona Lewis
Ken Baker had information about the guy who punched Leona Lewis in the face after waiting in line for five hours to get a book signed at a store in London this week. The guy is 29 years old and from London, and when he was arrested, he was laughing. Leona understandably had to cancel some appearances, and Ryan said that it’s frightening to think that she’s there signing books for fans and a lunatic comes up and does that. Later in the show, Ellen had an update that the attacker was apparently an X Factor reject and is now in the psychiatric ward. What kind of person does that? Leona is so sweet and inoffensive; how can anyone possibly blame her for their own rejection! It’s good that Leona’s injuries aren’t serious, but she must be so shaken.
Rather than include one of the videos that have been uploaded from the bookstore, here’s one of Leona’s performances from her X Factor days:
Ryan gives away $10,000!
Ryan gives away $102 every day to a caller whose birthday is in the month he gives out. He then asks the caller if their birthday is on a particular day in that month … if it is, they get $10,000! The caller today won the big prize, and sounded like she could really use it too, which makes it all the sweeter. Ryan got the caller’s husband on the phone. Sounding really emotional, she told him the news “baby I won $10,000!” … his response was disbelief … then Ryan spoke to him saying “baby, it’s Ryan Seacrest …” !
Jingle Ball
Ryan announced the line up for the KIIS FM Jingle Ball: Taylor Swift, Keri Hilson, Fabolous, Ting Tings, 3OH3!, LMFAO, Jay Sean, Jason Derulo. Tickets on sale now via TicketMaster Sounds great — should be a good night!
Do not approach this squirrel
Ryan read out an email from the building manager …
Just to be clear … the photo above isn’t Pete or the squirrel that shouldn’t be confused with Pete. No squirrels were harmed in the using of this photograph.
Ryan has a confession
In the sleaze, Ellen told how Blake Lively was banned from Disneyland for an entire year after she tried to get in for free. She and her brother found out that the hand stamp could be transferred with hairspray but they got caught out. This led to a little confession from Ryan …
