Adam Lambert
Ryan announced that Adam will be performing at the American Music Awards on November 22nd and asked if Adam knew who the nominations were. Adam said he didn’t and would be finding out with everyone else when he made the announcements later along with Paula, who he was excited about seeing, and Snoop Dogg.
Adam told Ryan he would be performing his upcoming single at the AMAs. Ryan said there’d been a buzz ever since he tweeted about Adam coming on (actually the buzz started when Natalie tweeted … the glamberts, globerts, lambrits and others were having full-blown adamgasms by the time it came out from Ryan’s twitter account) and played a clip of Time For Miracles, asking if that would be the single. Adam confirmed that Time For Miracles is just for the soundtrack, calling it a beautiful song with an epic video, adding that the first single from his album is going to be different — a little glammy, and glitterier than Time For Miracles. Ryan wanted to know how many bodies will be on stage at the AMAs but Adam had no way of knowing at this stage other than saying it would be more than just his body and would be over the top.
Ryan asked the million dollar question: when are we going to get our glittery hands on Adam’s single. Adam said he didn’t know for sure, but it would be announced any day now. His album will be out on November 24th; it’s still untitled but they have picked the picture. He said they’re bringing a glam rock feel back and hopes people like it. Ryan also asked about the Lady Gaga tour rumours. Adam is a fan of Lady Gaga but hasn’t had an offer and doesn’t think he’ll be going on tour as soon as her. When Ryan pushed for more on the tour, Adam said it’d probably be next year.
Adam sounded really excited, saying he’s getting to play rock star and it’s so much fun.
Paula Abdul
Right after speaking to Adam, Ryan spoke to Paula and asked if she knew anything more. Paula promised she’d find out and would tell! Ryan and Paula talked about Simon Cowell’s birthday party, which Paula missed because she was sick. She told Ryan she went over to see him for a couple of days last week and had her nails decorated with Simon — he had to have loved that! Ryan told Paula that Simon’s name and image where everywhere at the party, and explained that you couldn’t even escape him when you went to the bathroom because there was a television stream of people congratulating Simon in the stalls. Paula thought it sounded everything you could expect from someone with an inflated ego. Really a cute interview, and it’s funny how they both teased about Simon and Simon’s Ego (surely an entity in its own right) when it’s obvious they both adore him.
Harvey Levin
Harvey was on to clear up a rumour about Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ but had a bit of banter with Ryan about showing off his muscles. Harvey seemed a little skeptical that Ryan had absolutely no idea this photo was being taken: Ryan Seacrest in the Buff
Leighton Meester
Ryan talked to Leighton about her new single ‘Somebody to Love’, which you can listen to on Ryan’s website: EXCLUSIVE: Listen to Leighton Meester’s First Single Somebody To Love
Whitney Port
Whitney was in to talk about The City which is a spin-off from The Hills in which she pursues her fashion career in New York. Ryan and Whitney talked about moving to New York and Los Angeles and not knowing anyone. He wanted to know if she’d got some good friends and asked her why she is single. Ryan said he was won over when she tweeted about making peanut butter box pie. Whitney said she should have brought some though Ryan said he wouldn’t have made it to E! Then Ryan got excited talking about Matt Lauer being in studio on Thursday, it sounds like he’s really looking forward to that interview!
Paranormal Activity
Ryan said this is one of the most buzzed about movies at the moment but he hadn’t been able to sit through it saying it’s one for someone who gets off on being terrified. Corinne said she’d slept with the lights on after seeing it and keeps seeing the characters’ faces!
The trailer looks good, but I don’t think I’d sit through it either! Unless I watched it with someone who got totally freaked out, then I’d pretend not to be affected ;-)
