Ryan is to be honoured by LA’s Promise at its 2011 Gala on September 27th.

Ryan’s decided to start on the Harry Potter books. He’s got the audiobooks, though it doesn’t sound as though he will have the patience to sit through 21 hours … and he might need a little help with vocabulary.

Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the movies, was on Ryan’s show today: Tom Felton Wants A Final Showdown Between Draco and Harry!

Finally we get to find out what Ryan’s moonlighting in the park was about! In this hilarious video for Coca Cola, he spends some time in a park. Naturally, he’s not too clued in on the topic of recreation, but luckily some kids are on hand to help him out.

On-Air with Ryan Seacrest launches today on five Real Radio stations in the UK. Ryan called in to the Real Radio morning shows to talk about his new show and got a few pointers that should help him with his UK audiences. On Real Radio North West, Ryan was given his own North West football team to support and had a little cultural exchange about food … there are no solid foods in LA and North West cuisine features the “chippy tea”. The Yorkshire and North East DJs taught Ryan some handy phrases in the local lingo and the Scotland show wanted to know which big stars’ numbers are in Ryan’s phone.

Ryan’s show airs tonight at 11pm on 100-101 Scotland, 100-102 Northeast, 106-108 Yorkshire, 105.4 Northwest and Wales. Ryan’s first guest is Tom Cruise … great way to start!

At the Ryan Seacrest Foundation launch, Selena Gomez sang while one of the kids played guitar. It’s just the two of them until Ryan decides to join in …

Ryan told ABC that the aim is “to try and lift up the spirits of the kids who are going through tough stuff in their lives.” Looking at the enthusiasm from AJ and Rachel, who are featured in the report, for using the new facilities, I think he’s found a perfect way to do that.

When you look at the smile Ryan’s put on the faces of sick kids, you can see the difference it makes. With Ryan at the launch were his mom, dad and sister, who all work with Ryan at the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, Julianne, student volunteers who’ll be working with the kids at The Voice, Selena Gomez and Joe Jonas.

Ryan talked to Extra TV at the launch this morning, talking about his Foundation and Idol.

One of Ryan’s earlier interviews was disrupted by a monkey … he was talking on the Preston and Steve show when the monkey dropped the line.

Fortunately they got him back on the line quickly and the interview is well worth a listen. It’s about ten minutes long; Ryan talks a lot about the Foundation and the launch of the new broadcast center, then goes on to discuss American Idol and Julianne Hough. Ryan appeared on the Today Show to talk about “The Voice”, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation’s second broadcast media center, which is opening today at Children’s Hospital Philadelphia. He explained that the studio broadcasts to each individual room in the hospital from its location in the lobby. The kids can come down and use it, they can host a show or be interviewed, and there will be celebrity guests stopping by — starting today with Selena Gomez!

Ryan will launch the second Ryan Seacrest Foundation Media Center tomorrow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This is such an amazing thing that Ryan and his Foundation are doing. Ryan tweeted about the opening, saying he’s flying in a huge surprise … I bet the kids are excited to find out who that is!

The closed-circuit studio is designed to give seriously ill and injured children a creative outlet to experience activities related to radio, television and new media during their hospital stay. Patients visiting The Voice will have the ability to host their own radio shows, interview celebrities, watch live musical performances, request songs and much more.

Congratulations to Ryan for his Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program category for American Idol. Ryan’s been nominated in this category every year. While it’s an honour just to be nominated, Ryan deserves to win so let’s hope this is his year!

Ryan spoke to Tom Cruise about his role in the Rock Of Ages movie and it sounds like Tom and Ryan are in agreement that one of Tom’s co-stars has some very special talents.

Tom also talks about an opportunity for fans to watch him, Julianne and Diego in Florida on Monday.

Everybody’s buzzing about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II. Everyone except Ryan, who never got into Potter … unlike some of his staff …

Ryan wanted to run but his friend told him not to turn his back. Tough call! Do you stand still and risk suggesting that you’re going to be an easy lunch or run and risk provoking a game of chase. Oddly enough, neither Ryan nor his friend thought of screaming out a Cher song to scare the mountain lion away …

Exciting news for UK fans of Ryan: his radio show will broadcast on five Real Radio stations from 18th July.

Seacrest will take over the late show on weekdays from later this month across the brand’s five stations in Wales, Scotland and Northern England.

On Air With Ryan Seacrest will launch on 18th July with content recorded in Los Angeles and re-produced exclusively for Real.

GMG Radio’s Group Programme Director John Simons said: “Ryan Seacrest has a huge following in the UK thanks to American Idol but his radio show is one of the best in the world and I’m delighted we’ll be able to bring it to listeners in the UK every day of the working week – something that’s never been done before.”

@RyanSeacrest: Cheating on my diet…who’s with me?

Well, as Ryan posted this after a couple of people spotted him at Cultive with Julianne Hough, I guess we know who’s with him …

As for that sample cup, it would be a poor attempt at cheating on a diet. I sincerely hope it led to a more impressive cheat!

Not that Ryan even needs to diet, but if dieting will lead to more shirtless holiday snaps courtesy of his good friends the paparazzi, we’ll not point that out.

Ryan was in Portland yesterday for American Idol auditions. Around 7,000 people turned up for the first round, and it seems like there were some crazies interesting people in the mix.

“I like to call it eclectic,” said the show’s host, Ryan Seacrest. “Variety. That’s good for us. We like that on TV.”

Surveying the crowd, he said, “You can see a lot of personality in the crowd. I think the big question is, who has got a great voice to match this great character?”
