@childrensatl tweeted a link giving more information about the Ryan Seacrest Foundation Broadcast Media Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta:

X17video asked Larry King about the rumours he’s planning a radio show with Ryan Seacrest. Larry didn’t confirm anything other than he and Ryan are great friends and there’s nothing to say yet, but he wouldn’t be averse to returning to radio.

Kathy Griffin took to twitter to remind everyone to watch her one true love Ryan Seacrest on E! Live from the Red Carpet this Sunday.

It’s okay, Kathy, we understand. You’re trying to make him jealous.

On his radio show this morning Ryan said he wants to do the whole day on the radio some time to raise money for charity.

He has just launched his Ryan Seacrest Foundation and is going to build multimedia centers in kids’ hospitals around the country where patients will be able to make their own TV shows and broadcast to their rooms. Sounds like a great cause!

Ryan went to dinner with Larry King and Larry asked his twitter followers who should pick up the check this time. Ryan quipped ‘dutch?’, but Larry gave an update later to say that Ryan had picked up the check: “As always had a great time with @RyanSeacrest. He’s a class act & picked up the check for the whole table!”

As for the dinner itself, Ryan tweeted that Larry “is having chopped salad and rubbing my knee”.

Ryan tweeted out to say he had a lunch meeting “at the amazing bouchon restaurant in bev hills.” Let’s hope they don’t allow him to bring his own food …

Poor Ryan. He works so hard! And there he is, putting on a brave face, during a long, grueling day at work.

Ryan was on the other side of the mic on the Emmys red carpet, which means his fashion came in for a little analysis.

First things first, I’ve gotta give a big shout out to a guy that I have mad respect for – Mr. Ryan Seacrest. He’s usually on the other side of the carpet, but he’s looking quite fashionable actually on it as well. Ryan kept it classic in a black suit, and added some funky edge with the skinnier tie – very chic.

No bonus points for not spilling coffee on his shirt?

According to E! Online, it seems Ryan was spot on when he said Kathy Griffin has a crush on him, but apparently she’s jacked it up a notch to imaginary relationship.

“I mean he wants me, obviously,” a smiling Kath joked on her way out of the party in West Hollywood. “We’d be a pretty hot couple. But you know Ryan Seacrest and I are in a relationship now.”

During an interview on his radio show this morning, Ryan talked about an interesting tactic he uses on his first dates.

Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Executive Producer Ryan Seacrest with his Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program.

Food Revolution is something Ryan seemed genuinely passionate about, so it’s sweet to see it win an Emmy.

Ryan tweeted this great photo from his busy Saturday schedule: “Hanging w D-becks at wp 24 downtown LA!”

One of these men is a handsome athlete, the other is David Beckham.

Jamie Oliver was also delighted to hear about the Emmy win, tweeting out photos of him with his production crew and his two ‘arch enemies’ from the series, though he claims they’re all friends now!

Ryan and Jamie talked about the Emmy nomination on Ryan’s show recently and Jamie said he couldn’t attend because his wife is heavily pregnant. Hopefully Ryan will have him on the radio show next week so they can talk about it some more!

Ryan tweeted fantastic news about the Emmys: they won for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution! The show was great and they deserved to win — congrats Ryan, RSP, Jamie and everyone else involved.

Ryan’s at the Creative Emmys this evening and has sent out several tweets with photos and interesting updates. Earlier today he said he was getting a haircut before changing and heading over to the Nokia Theatre at LA Live for the Creative Emmys, then on to a dinner he’s hosting with David Beckham. A little later he tweeted out a photo of the items on his passenger seat: a cooler of vegetable juices, his tickets to the Emmys, a computer, and his schedule — which apparently didn’t contain an entry for visiting the bathroom.

Ryan said his biggest challenge en route was lifting the huge cup of coffee not spilling coffee on his white shirt. This wouldn’t be a problem. I’m sure it’s warm there; he could just take it off. Of course, he’d have to lose the jacket too otherwise it would look silly. This still isn’t a problem.

Once he reached the Emmys, Ryan tweeted a photograph if him backstage with Jon Hamm.

Let’s hope that was the queue for the bathroom … four hours is a long time.

Ryan can’t comment on American Idol judging rumours because of his contract, but that didn’t stop him having Ken Baker on to talk about what he’s heard.

Ryan talked about his weekend on the radio show this morning, and it sounds like he’s in for a busy one.

Tonight he’s going to a birthday party, which he seemed very excited about, then tomorrow he is attending the Creative Emmys where he has nominations for hosting Idol and his production company’s show with Jamie Oliver. That’s followed by a hot date with David Beckham, which he’s feeling a little insecure about, and then he’s heading to the new Wolfgang Puck restaurant (what’s he going to do if David wants to take him to an after party?)

Sunday sounds a little more leisurely as he’s taking his sister to lunch … in the evening he can watch one of his own shows as the new series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is on E!

Ryan’s left a few hours unaccounted for, so let’s hope his trackball is still working so he can tweet …

Ryan was having a little trouble with a sticky ball which would only go side to side and refused to go down on him. Corinne suggested that he cleaned it with hand sanitizer, which seemed to do the trick … he can get a little practice in once more.

The testosterone count was a little lower today and Ryan sounded skeptical about Ellen’s comment about being surrounded by men, saying that one of the men is a dancer and a little light on his loafers. Has Ryan been taking dancing lessons? Once Nigel got his microphone working, Ryan asked him if he was officially the producer of American Idol. Nigel confirmed that he’s one of the executive producers, asking Ryan if he thought he’d be there if he wasn’t … just popped in to say hi?

Ryan asked Nigel about a question he’s often asked: whether the country’s been tapped for talent. Nigel agreed with Ryan that it’s not true, adding that more people join the pool of available talent each year. Nigel pointed out that there are a lot of people auditioning this year and although that doesn’t necessarily relate to the amount of talent, he hopes that by opening a few more oysters they’ll find a few more pearls. Ellen admired Nigel’s description, though Ryan joked that he’s coming out with the one-liners how he’s had a little fame with SYTYCD … generously adding that Nigel’s very masculine in comparison to Shankman! Nigel reminded Ryan that he was talking about the man who proposed to him on live TV.

The conversation turned to judges, with Ellen asking if Ryan will just do the show alone. Ryan asked Nigel for the official word on judges: he’s not at liberty to even talk about who they’re negotiating with while negotiations are ongoing but the decision will probably have to be made within the next three weeks. He added that the decisions are made but they still have to reach agreement with the stars.

Nigel was pleased to be back, and it seems Ryan was pleased to see him from Ellen’s description of the bear hug he gave Nigel.

Ryan was very excited to talk to Sly — an old workout buddy of his — on the radio today.

Ryan got his revenge on Gordon Ramsay for his previous comments by giving him a taste of the juices he’s been drinking. Gordon wasn’t impressed! Ryan said on the show that he’s lost 6lb so they’re working.

So should we wonder where Ryan got his hat … or just concentrate on the info that Gordan Ramsay is a spitter who sleeps with Mike Darnell, goes camping with David Beckham and talks bollocks with Ryan? No, really, listen to the podcast!

@RyanSeacrest: The devil has just been delivered to my green room

It’s difficult to tell from his expression whether Ryan’s mad at the devil bagels or has just been caught making off with a huge breakfast. As he has Gordon Ramsey in studio tomorrow, I’d have expected Ryan to spend the day in the company of kale juices and lettuce leaves while ordering emergency man spanx from the treadmill after what happened last time.

It’s really quite impressive he’s prepared to stand so close to that many calories in the circumstances. Ryan looks in great shape, so hopefully he’ll get a well-deserved compliment this time!

Before Shaq was on the phone, Ryan was having a few problems deciding what he’s good at — a caller suggested Ryan could prove his claim that he’s smooth with the ladies. Ryan didn’t remember saying that, but is quite confident in his kissing prowess …

During his radio show this morning, Ryan tweeted out a photo of his delicious-looking kale juice … okay, it looks revolting, but we can honestly say the results look delicious! Ryan also joked about giving his kale juice a little extra kick on Sundays after a sleaze story about Beyonce’s weekly day of indulgence.

Ryan’s own twitter has been very informative too. He tweeted before and after his flight (and we do like to know he’s arrived safely!), then again on his way to the Frank Erwin Center this morning explaining his plan for the day: Austin texas today. on my way to frank erwin center to see the talent.. I will tape the show open and then broadcast radio show from inside and later in the day he tweeted a funny update from auditions: in austin at idol auds met justin who is wrapped in a texas flag like a cape. Haven’t heard his voice yet and don’t know if he can fly!

Ryan described seeing Sadao down on his knees as Jayson, his hair guy, pulled up his leg as he walked down the corridor. Ellen agreed that wasn’t something you see every day, though she has imagined it before …

Moving swiftly out of the recesses of Ellen’s mind, Ryan went on to explain that Sadao was photographing Jayson’s new tattoo and wondering why he’d have a platypus on his calf, while Ellen injected latin names and facts about the platypus and where you’d find it (other than on Jayson’s leg). It was one of the oddest — and funniest — conversations I’ve heard them have, ending in Ryan’s speculation about how the platypus came into being.

American Idol auditions are ongoing and tomorrow it’s Austin’s turn. Ryan is on his way to Austin so will be at the arena for auditions and broadcast his radio show and presumably E! News from there too.

On the subject of dancers, Ellen had a few issues with Ryan’s moves on his radio show …

Ryan was nominated in two categories: TV Personality (up against Simon Cowell) and Twit (up against Ellen DeGeneres) and there were nominations for American Idol and Keeping up with the Kardashians.

The results are out and the show airs tonight on Fox — spoilers after the cut.

Access Hollywood posted a poll about American Idol:

With the judging panel still not set, should they consider Ryan Seacrest for a seat?

The options they gave were:

• Yes! He’s more than qualified.
• No, Simon was right. He should stick to hosting.

But we really needed a third option:

• No. He’s more than qualified, but is too valuable as host.

I think Ryan would make a great judge, but he has said he’s not going to be a judge, and he’s already fantastic and iconic as the host — why would ‘they’ want to risk the show’s linchpin with so many other changes necessary? Maybe Ryan could manage both roles (if anyone can …), but it would be a real challenge for him to judge without affecting the dynamic he has with the contestants.

It’s sad that Simon’s left Idol, and I’ll miss his banter with Ryan, but with the huge turnout at auditions and the uncertainty surrounding the panel, it looks like there’s a lot of interest in what could be an exciting season … with Ryan front and center, where he belongs.

The final first round auditions are in Austin on August 11 and San Fransisco on August 19, with the MySpace auditions to be announced.

Ryan may have a little competition in the entertainment news reporting arena! Ten year old Sebastian Martinez was at the American Idol auditions in New Jersey, and after talking with some of the talent, got a hold of Ryan for a couple of questions — he did a pretty good job too.

Sebastian didn’t hold back with his questions.

SM: A couple of ladies in my family want to know, are you single?

Ryan: “I am not married, you should tell them that.”

Ryan turned the tables on Sebastian for a few seconds before saying, “maybe I should stop asking the questions…”

SM: How do you explain to a person they were bad without hurting their feelings?

Ryan: “That’s tough! One option is to lie, but you don’t want to do that, right? So you’ve got to walk that fine line of positive reinforcement with honesty, which is a tricky combination. I don’t know that I’ve mastered that myself.”

SM: How’s your bromance with Simon?

Ryan: “Well … during the audition tour, I’m so used to having a roommate. And without my roommate this time around, I’m missing my wake-up call, I’m just distraught in the gym without him spotting at bench press. So my life has changed, it’s changed a lot. I will miss him.”

SM: Enough with the rumours! Who are the new judges for the next season of American Idol?

Ryan said Sebastian is good and joked with him about beating around the bush with his question. Sebastian offered to step up for one of the vacancies, so before answering, Ryan pointed out that he and Sebastian would barely be able to see over the table.

Ryan: “We haven’t made a decision yet, so hopefully soon you will know.

Then Ryan turned the questions back around on Sebastian again; he just can’t help himself!

We love it when Ryan tweets about the important stuff … his lunch. It looks tasty, but it’s entertaining watching different reactions on twitter.

On his show this morning, Ryan took a call from a guy who’s interested in a girl who’s moved into his apartment building. Ryan told the caller this had happened to him too when he moved to LA: a hot girl moved in across from him, and Ryan went over … to borrow a wooden bowl to make a Caesar salad. Ryan said she was a little confused but thought it was funny, though Ryan was being half-serious because he really did want to make a Caesar salad! Giving him a little encouragement, Ryan told the caller it worked, but then admitted it didn’t last.

Someone called in to ask for Ryan’s advice this morning because she had promised to hire a limousine for her sister’s Quinceanera in September, but has been getting fewer hours at work and can’t afford it. She feels like crying because she doesn’t want to disappoint her sister.

Ryan initially said they have a bunch of E! News vans — though he wasn’t sure that would give off the same vibe — then conferred with Dennis about the company they use for ‘Pimp my Prom’ and told the caller that they’d provide a free limo for her sister’s Quinceanera.

So it was happy ending for the caller and her sister! That was so nice of Ryan, Dennis and whoever it was on Ryan’s team that filtered the call through to him.

On Ryan’s radio show this morning, Ellen talked about her new addiction: @trendfacts. One of the facts she told Ryan is that apples are more efficient than caffeine for keeping you awake in the morning. Ryan asked all the right questions to get a little quantification going on for ‘more efficient’ and ‘caffeine’, but then longing took over:

I do love apples. Now I love the sensation, the feeling of something warm trickling down the back of my tongue and going toward the threshold of my esophagus and rolling inside my stomach and settling.

Which was followed by the intriguing “Apples remind me of sex.”

Well that sure puts the photo he tweeted from last year’s Boston auditions into a whole new context …

Ryan tweeted about Nigel Lythgoe returning to American Idol; something he’ll hopefully talk about in more detail on his radio show. Ryan spoke with Nigel on Friday’s On-Air with Ryan Seacrest and played a clip of Nigel’s Freudian slip on So You Think You Can Dance, calling the show American Idol by mistake. Although Ryan asked Nigel if he could confirm his return, at that point, Nigel had last weekend’s National Dance Day to promote and didn’t want American Idol to be the focus of all questions.

The big shake-up for American Idol season 10 continues: yesterday it was announced that Idol has moved its recording deal for winners and finalists to Universal after a long relationship with Sony. There’s still no confirmation on who the new judges will be, whether there’ll be three or four, and whether Kara and Randy are staying, but it won’t be long now as the producers’ audition rounds are well underway and the judges’ audition round is due to start next month.

Ryan is still on the east coast and his radio show today came from a locker room underneath the IZOD center where the American Idol auditions are taking place. Ryan addressed the issue of judges, saying there’s no news yet but as soon as there’s something ‘locked and confirmed’ he’ll have the scoop.

Randy Jackson has been quoted as saying the only person safe is Ryan, and Steven Tyler, rumoured to be in line for one of the seats, has indicated his interest on video.

The uncertainty doesn’t seem to be having a negative effect on potential contestants as another record crowd turned up in New Jersey — Ryan said during the show that almost 20,000 people were at the IZOD to try out for season 10.

There was a funny story on today’s radio show: one of Ryan’s staff, Simon, uses Ryan’s name to pick up girls! Ryan said he couldn’t see how that would help, so Simon told him it worked pretty well, explaining that he coordinated it with his wingmen so someone would say he works with Ryan Seacrest, and he’d drop info about them in return. Ryan replied, “using me is better than being me,” then Simon told him he has the nickname “Captain Invisible” because he’s like the invisible wingman. Cute! It does tell a girl that he has a job and he isn’t an aspiring something-or-other, so maybe that’s how it works.

Simon revealed that one of his wingmen is a model, which Ryan immediately dismissed as a bad idea because he gets first dibs, before asking Simon if the guy’s vapid. As a pretty boy himself, Ryan should know that they aren’t all dumb! Though it’s not necessarily a bad thing if they are. Corinne told Ryan that the girls can’t use Ryan’s name to impress guys because guys all listen to some other show I’ve never heard of.

Ryan has been spotted out and about in NYC, and tweeted out about his cheating:

Ryan’s in the city for American Idol auditions this week, and it sounds like he won’t be lonely:
