This weekend marks the end of daylight saving time in the US, so don’t get caught out on Monday if you’re listening to Ryan’s show from outside the States.

Ryan, naturally, had much more important things on his mind when he and Ellen talked about the clocks going back.

Can you imagine being on a long-haul flight with him? Waiting in nervous anticipation for him to ask “what time is it?” Is it the time in the timezone you boarded … the one you’re heading to … or do you need to know the timezone you’re flying over? Nightmare. Maybe the safest response is “do you need to pee?”

Not that Paris, this time, though after yesterday we wouldn’t have been surprised if Ryan wanted to get out of LA!

There have been a few sightings on twitter of Ryan at Paris Hilton’s Hallowe’en party … and it sounds like Ryan has been letting his hair down.

TMZ and E! News reported that Chidi Uzomah, the man who was convicted of attacking a bodyguard last month while Ryan was driving away from the KIIS FM fundraiser for CHOC, was arrested in the lobby of the E! building today. The man had apparently entered the building and asked to see Ryan, but was recognised by a security officer who detained him and called in the LAPD.

Uzomah was convicted of battery for the assault on the bodyguard last month and ordered to stay away from Ryan as a condition of his three-year probation. TMZ, however, reports that Uzomah turned up at the KIIS FM studio in Burbank earlier this month, but because Ryan was not on the premises, nothing was done despite a request for the incident to be taken as a violation of Uzomah’s probation. Ryan was on the premises today and, as in the previous incident, Uzomah was reportedly carrying a knife, so this appears less open to interpretation.

The E! News report included additional information that Uzomah’s car, parked outside E!, contained “multiple maps of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, a screwdriver, towels, clothes and a spare pair of shoes, water bottles, a receipt from Jack in the Box, Q-tips, rock crystals and a blue tarp.”

E! News has an exclusive update from Ryan, who they say is fine:

“An interesting day here at E!” Seacrest says of his headline-making (and delivering) day. “My sincerest thanks to the LAPD, who helped us out here at the building today.”

Scary stuff. We’d rather not speculate on what the man actually wants with Ryan, but we’re extremely happy to know Ryan’s safe and grateful that E! security were on the ball. Whatever this man’s motives, let’s hope that’s the end of it and the law enforcement agencies now have sufficient evidence to ensure no harm comes to Ryan or members of his entourage.

UPDATE: TMZ claim LAPD have decided Uzomah is a real danger to Ryan and is being held on felony stalking charges.

UPDATE: TMZ claims Ryan’s lawyers have secured a restraining order and Uzomah is allowed no contact with Ryan and must stay at least 100 yards from him.

It’s Hallowe’en and Ryan and co are playing dress up! Ryan’s wearing an original CHiPs uniform belonging to Erik Estrada. For someone who wasn’t sure about wearing a costume to work, Ryan sure seems to be getting into it!

There were reports and tweets yesterday about Ryan being present as Executive Producer for filming of a pilot episode of a new E! show called Bank of Hollywood.

The New York Post claims the show’s judges will be Sean Patterson, president of Wilhelmina Models, and Candy Spelling — they weren’t able to get confirmation of this from RSP.

Details are sketchy at the moment but it sounds as though contestants pitch a business idea they believe could make money to the judges with the aim of securing funding though we’ve not come across any information or speculation yet on the angle that makes this different to similar shows.

There has been some suggestion that this could be Chance repackaged. It seems there are similarities as both involve a contestant pitching for funding, but the premise of Chance seemed to be making dreams come true rather than funding ways to make money (though some dreams no doubt involve making money!)

Hopefully some information will be available soon.

This cracked me up today: Ryan was uncomfortable when Manny on the Streets called him sunshine … and wasn’t too impressed with the alternative either!

When you see and speak with über-famous celebrities regularly, you probably wouldn’t blink at meeting a star or two at a movie premiere, right? Watch what happened when Natalie, Patty and Corinne from On-Air with Ryan Seacrest met Cory Monteith and Kevin McHale from Glee at the “This Is It” premiere.

That is so funny. I think Ryan needs to do a TV show based around his radio show!

Ryan said his Blackberry was going off last night and it was Khloé Kardashian from the Lakers game. She asked Ryan what he was doing … he was watching It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. I remember this one (but I’ll probably watch it again anyway now I’ve found it on YouTube!)

Ryan said he switched over to the Lakers game once he realised that was on … I’m more impressed that he was watching Charlie Brown.

His reply to Khloé? Ryan said he told her he was at the gym ;)

On his show today, Ryan admitted to a tear as he watched the entire two hour Keeping Up With The Kardashians Wedding Special, which will air on E! on November 8th. Ryan said that Bruce Jenner gave the most heartfelt unbelievable speech to Khloé, talking about her father, and you could see the love that he has for the girls.

Ryan has been in Atlanta this weekend for a charity gala to raise money for the Atlanta Ronald Mcdonald House. Before the gala at the World of Coca-Cola, Ryan visited the Ronald McDonald House itself and spent time chatting and posing for photos with patients and families. During his interview on Good Day Atlanta on Friday, one of the presenters talked about how much it means to people when someone like Ryan gets involved — looking at some of the feedback Ryan received via twitter, it’s clear to see how much his time and effort is appreciated.

Ryan and his team ran a competition through twitter yesterday to win 2 tickets to tonight’s Concert for Hope with Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato. To win the tickets, people had to follow @cityofhope to find out a secret question and head over to The Grove at 4pm and locate Ryan’s undercover intern. Whether that’s an intern going undercover or someone going undercover as an intern, he didn’t specify.

On a scale of one to omg-Ryan-is-insane, that is hilarious!

Ryan was on Good Day Atlanta this morning to talk about his appearance at the Ronald McDonald House Gala event tomorrow night. He wasn’t in studio, saying that he had just arrived in his home town and hadn’t done anything other than speak to his parents. The presenter said she’d heard that this was a special event close to Ryan’s heart:

Yes. It’s a really big event. We’ve got a great partnership with Coca Cola through American Idol and I too have worked with them on so many different things and so tomorrow night there’s a big gala for the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House of which I’m going to see a little bit tomorrow here in town. A home away from home for families who have kids that are sick. It’s a really big event and it’s a great organization and of course our friends at Coca Cola couldn’t be better.

Ryan added that you never know when you’re going to need something like the Ronald McDonald house and said he would have liked to throw out some tickets but he’d been told the event is sold out. Also appearing at the gala is Melinda Doolittle, who Ryan described as ‘a compact little singer with a lot of strength behind her voice’.

Ryan was also asked for his thoughts on the next season of American Idol and Ellen DeGeneres joining the show:

Well how about that curve ball? Ellen De Generes! Woah! So we have her on the panel, which is going to be fantastic. We just finished the auditions around the country and we saw some good people and some very interesting contestants, as you can imagine, and come the beginning of the year we will launch. And I am thrilled that Ellen’s going to be on the show. I’ve known her for quite a while and she is one of the most clever, articulate, smart, funny kindest people in the business.

On the comparison with Simon Cowell, who Ryan called ‘the elderly one’, referring back to his narcissistic 50th birthday party, Ryan said Ellen would be honest but in a sweeter way than the acerbic englishman.

It’s a black-tie event in aid of the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides a home for families who need to stay with seriously ill or injured children in hospital. The Hearts and Hands Gala (which is sold out) will be held at the World of Coca Cola.

Atlanta’s own Ryan Seacrest of “American Idol” will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The Coca-Cola Company is the event’s presenting sponsor.

On Friday’s show, Natalie told Ryan she wasn’t too sure about his shirt because it looked like it had a painted-on vest. Ryan’s taste in clothes can sometimes be a little questionable, but on this occasion he responded with absolute confidence that his guest on the show, Rachel Zoe — who has a styling show on Bravo — would approve.

A few details about Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday are starting to get out, and it seems there are a few things that Ryan hasn’t mentioned on twitter or his radio show yet… hopefully he’ll have more to say than ‘The party was fun’ when he’s over the jet lag!

The New York Post and Daily Mail are reporting that Ryan was mock whipped on stage.

Earth, Wind & Fire performed, and a burlesque dance troupe brought pretty boy Seacrest to the stage, where he was playfully whipped on the backside with a feathered crop.

As the evening wore on, some guests were sure they saw American Idol host Ryan Seacrest get dragged up on to the stage and whipped by a dancer dressed as a dominatrix. It was that kind of party.

Who cares if it’s true or not … I’m going to enjoy the mental imagery!

Radar Online details a touching moment between Ryan and his buddy Simon:

That sounds adorable – I’d love to see a photo or a videoclip of that! Word is Simon stayed sober all night, so it probably wasn’t even drunken hugging, just a genuine show of bromance. (Though I’m wondering how long it’ll take until the ‘New York’ Ryan/Simon fanfic turns up in my Seacrest blog alerts… )

Funniest report so far about Ryan has to be from The Celebrity Channel:

Simon, of course, remained impeccably well behaved throughout, though with topless exotic dancers, Ryan Seacrest in drag and, bizarrely, some giant inflatable female genitalia all making an appearance, we’re guessing he had some explaining to do when it came to his 84-year-old mum Julie.

Ryan Seacrest in drag I’d pay good money to see that … I’m assuming this is the ‘Whispers/Telephone’ version of him getting mock whipped, but who knows what Ryan gets up to when there’s nobody looking (other than 400 of Simon’s friends and a bunch of paparazzi hovering nearby). It should be fun to see how outrageous the story gets in subsequent retellings.

Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson are two of the guests who’ll be at Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday celebration in London this weekend. Ryan tweeted to say he was ‘shooting to London’ for Simon’s birthday and has promised to try to snap a shot of Randy’s pants … a nod to the photo he posted recently of Randy’s rolled up jeans and virtually hairless legs when they travelled to the American Idol auditions together.

Ryan was spotted ‘in the buff’, which apparently doesn’t mean the same thing to TMZ as it means to the rest of the world, at LAX yesterday … presumably on his way to London: Ryan Seacrest in the Buff It almost looks as though Ryan’s been working out extra hard to piss Simon off!

Simon’s hugely popular in the UK, despite being responsible for Robson & Jerome (we’re a forgiving bunch) and in some sections of the population has better name recognition than the queen or god … though some would say he channels elements of both (we couldn’t possibly comment on that). We hope Ryan, Randy and the other guests have a great time celebrating with Simon, and we hope Simon has a very happy birthday!

Ryan had to fend off shocking accusations today … Negative Natalie told him it was embarrassing the way he was flirting throughout the interview with Kristin Cavallari because she wasn’t having any of it. Natalie said she was telling him so he didn’t do it again, but Ryan insisted that Kristin had been the one hitting on him:
