Let me tell you like this, he’s a really nice guy. Ryan Seacrest is probably one of the most likeable guys, I mean literally with no camera or with a camera. He’s the same on-stage and off-stage.

This is hilarious … Monsters and critics have picked up a story from National Enquirer about a jealous ghost being behind Debbie Williams’ accident on Idol.
Following the accident, crew members are petrified of spending too much time with Ryan in case they become the next victim of Phyllis’ passionate jealousy.
The source added: “Now all the women are whispering, ‘Don’t get close to Ryan’.”

TMZ has some photos of Ryan from the weekend: Seacrest Doubles Down in Vegas
Seacrest was spotted with his two new pals at the Tao Beach pool party in Las Vegas this weekend. If you happen to recognize the well-endowed chick in the photos, she’s the famed ex-stripper known as “Leper” on theDirty.com.

We’re big fans of Adam here at the Ryan Seacrest Fan Zone, so we love this tweet from Ryan:
RyanSeacrest: adam lambert told me on cnn tonight that the band queen asked him to do some shows with him asap…cool
It was amazing when Adam Lambert sang with Queen in the American Idol finale, and it would be awesome if this happened.
Adam Lambert w/ Queen from ric matthews on Vimeo.
Props to Ryan for the CNN specials. He did a brilliant job with both shows.

Ryan Seacrest talks to Paula Abdul and the top ten about American Idol.
Their lives changed forever. And what about the rest of the top 10? They’re all here and Paula too. Right now. THIS is Larry King Live.
You guys have been through it. The question everyone wants an answer to. Finally I get to ask you. What kind of guy-liner do you wear?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Kris Allen won American Idol Season 8 and Adam Lambert emerged as its star. Congratulations to Kris! While he doesn’t come close to the talent of Adam, he’s a great artist in his own right and a worthy winner.

It’s come around so quickly, but tonight is the American Idol finale.
Ryan asked his million followers if they had messages for Adam or Kris as he went to rehearsals yesterday
RyanSeacrest: Headed to idol rehearsals any messages for adam and kris?
and received a ton of replies for both. Ryan later observed that both finalists were looking relaxed, which they do in the twitpic posted by Fox News 24 Anchor Dana Sargent.
RyanSeacrest: Was downtown LA today at idol…kris and adam seem totally relaxed tomorrow should be great
Ryan announced the guests on his radio show yesterday morning: Carrie Underwood will perform on tonight’s show and Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana, Cindi Lauper, Queen Latifah, Black Eyed Peas, Keith Urban and David Cook will be on the results show.

It’s only just over a month since Ryan Seacrest reached an impressive 500,000 followers on twitter, yet today he became the next twitter millionaire.
Congratulations Ryan, Sadao, and the rest of Team Seacrest!

Ryan opened the show by saying this was the 300th episode, a fact he’d revealed on twitter earlier.
RyanSeacrest: This is our 300th episode of idol tonight…how is that possible? On way to the set.
He was looking smart in another dark suit, though I’m starting to long for jeans. Not much chance of that at this stage of the season, and he had to make it worse with his post-show tweet:
RyanSeacrest: Just finished idol live…it airs in the west soon..putting on jeans and going over our staging for katy perry and jordan sparks..
Ryan tried to introduce the judges, but ‘his highness’ has turned Paula’s chair around so she was facing the audience instead of the camera. He brought out the contestants and said that tomorrow we’ll find out why some chick bum-rushed Adam … we know why, we’re just wondering if they’ll play a clip!

Words don’t often fail me (no matter how often people wish they would), but I’m struggling to find enough superlatives to express just how much I love this video of the On-Air with Ryan Seacrest Team.

We’ve been following the reaction to the announcement about Ryan Seacrest Productions’ new unscripted Jamie Oliver show for ABC.
Ryan had this to say via twitter:
RyanSeacrest: Have u guys seen what jamie oliver has done for kids in uk? He and I created a show I am going to produce for him in U.S. For abc. Stoked
Some of the coverage compared the planned series to NBC’s The Biggest Loser, which apparently targets America’s fattest cities, while others concentrated on the UK series Jamie’s School Dinners, where Jamie went into schools and showed them how to prepare healthy meals using fresh ingredients. Some of the comments were funny … we particularly liked the idea of The Naked Seacrest, in which Ryan would ‘pop in from time to time to corner an attractive man and demand to know “how he lost the weight.”’
Media and comments out of the UK are mixed, with a little more scepticism and a little less optimism, as you’d expect from the inherently cynical inhabitants of a country that’s already seen Jamie’s intervention take place.
The Guardian was true to form with an amusingly snarky Take two cooks … please! in which they asked America to take the rest of our celebrity chefs to join Gordon Ramsay, and brought up the stories about mothers passing chips (fries) through school railings to their little darlings rather than have them eat healthy meals.

The competition is hotting up with only three contestants remaining in the battle to be this year’s American Idol.
RyanSeacrest: Idol : 2 songs from each (judges choice/personal choic, Hometowns were BIGGER than ever. The support was staggering. Crowds of over 20,000
Ryan tweeted to say that each contestant will sing two songs this week, one chosen by the judges and one chosen by the contestant. Reports online suggest that Randy Jackson selected Apologize for Kris, Paula Abdul chose Dance Little Sister for Danny and Simon Cowell selected either One or Wicked Games for Adam (though there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding Adam’s song).
I followed coverage of Adam’s homecoming, watching him on Fox5 and listening to a couple of radio interviews. This is my favourite clip and is from his visit to the military base:
I didn’t see much of either Kris or Danny’s day, so I’m looking forward to watching those on Idol tomorrow.

This tweet came from Ryan on the same day he announced working on a series about healthy eating with Jamie Oliver:
RyanSeacrest: I just got back to my desk to grab lunch only thing I have near is a stack of kale..its actually good
Not that kale isn’t fabulous as part of a healthy, balanced diet … but on its own for lunch? Oh, Ryan … we don’t want you wasting away! Next you’ll be sharing the ice cubes with Simon.

Jamie Oliver is joining Ryan Seacrest Productions for a new series that aims to bring healthy eating to cities in America. Jamie is well known in the UK for his School Dinners campaign, which brought changes in law as well as in the food provided by our schools, working on the principle that healthy food doesn’t need to be expensive, it just needs to be fresh, simple and full of nutrients.
Ryan’s quoted saying:
“I couldn’t do what I do in terms of my schedule if I didn’t eat right and exercise right. As a kid I was chubby, and I’m a firm believer that the fuel we put into our body results in a healthy lifestyle. Jamie’s going to come over here, roll up his sleeves and use the resources of each town to help condition living habits to make it a better and healthier place.”
ABC has ordered six hours of the show from Ryan Seacrest Productions and it should air next year.
Well done RSP, this sounds great!

We’ve had emails saying that Ryan had to miss Wango Tango because he was ill.
This seems to be confirmed by messages flying around twitter … and JoJo from KIIS tweeted that he was booed for saying Ryan had swine flu (though we don’t know if he was just joking about the flu or joking about him being ill).
JoJoWright: Actually they were booin the fact that Seacrest didn’t show, I said he had swine flu! Ooops!
JoJoWright: was more of an upset that Ryan couldn’t make it, he’s got some fans, n stuff
lindsay56: @RyanSeacrest RYAN!!! I missed you tonight at Wango Tango. I heard you were ill :( i hope you feel better.
Breesterz: ryan seacrest couldn’t be here… he’s sick :(
We hope it’s nothing serious: get well soon, Ryan!

Monsters and Critics has the scoop on Connie Seacrest and Julie Cowell’s interview with Terri Seymour on Extra: Ryan Seacrest’s mom Connie and Simon Cowell’s mum talk ‘Idol’

The drama started before the show in what Ryan described as an ‘unconventional day’. American Idol stage manager Debbie Williams was injured falling from the stairs when they moved too quickly. After that, part of the set started to collapse covering the stage with glass, causing the dress rehearsal to be cancelled. We hear that Ryan remained calm and in control amidst the panic.
According to reports, Debbie needed stitches for a very deep gash that went right down to the bone, so the most important thing is to wish her well and be grateful that there were no further injuries. Ryan confirmed via twitter that she was doing okay:
RyanSeacrest: Good news our stage manager debbie is doing much better. She fell during rehersal ...she's my right hand during these shows. Love u deb!
Onto the show …

On Saturday, Ryan told the twitterverse he was going for a run.
RyanSeacrest: in my seats..screening edits of upcoming kardasians episodes…eating almonds…trying to talk mysef into going for a run
RyanSeacrest: love woody allen quote…best excercise is anxiety…ok i am hitting the pavement…keep me posted in dallas and at the derby tweet ya later
RyanSeacrest: run delayed i am putting dallas footage up on ryanseacrest.com gimme ten mins
RyanSeacrest: now going to run!
followed by twitter silence for the next 24 hours. Just as we were starting to wonder how far he’d actually gone, Ryan posted this little treasure:
RyanSeacrest: hello..did a hike then chowed on nachos…2 steps forward 2 steps back..watching 60 mins on tivo
How adorable and refreshingly normal is that!

A blogger posted a personal attack on Ryan, advising the girl he’s rumoured to have been dating to run, after disagreeing with advice he gave to a caller on his radio show. We thought the blog crossed a line so we were stoked to hear that Ryan had invited the blogger onto his show to duke it out on air.
I don’t always agree with Ryan’s advice either, but he doesn’t claim to be a trained therapist and he doesn’t always have a lot of time to consider his response before giving it (even knowing the topic being discussed, he obviously gets some curve balls). It’s one thing to disagree with what he said and give a different point of view, but quite another to suggest Ryan would make a bad boyfriend or husband because of that.
If you didn’t catch the show, you can read a full recap of the discussion or listen to the audio on Ryan’s site: Ryan’s Controversial Debate With Jackie The Blogger
