Ryan Seacrest and team in Orlando
Ryan confirmed via his Twitter account that he has made it to Orlando for the opening of The American Idol Experience attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Walt Disney World) Theme Park this week.

At the attraction, visitors audition a cappella in front of a producer, and those who get through to the second round choose from a song list and sing with pre-recorded music. People who get through this round go into one of the preliminary shows and sing before a live audience, who vote for their favourite via electronic keypads (it’s “Stars in their Eyes” all over again!). The winners of the preliminary show will go forward to the finale, again voted on by the audience, with a final grand prize of a Dream Ticket … which allows an eligible hopeful to queue jump at the American Idol auditions.
It sounds like fun! I’m going to Florida for a conference soon and I’ll be sure to go along and check it out. Can I audition to be Simon Cowell? I can come out with weird, but oddly accurate, similes and play one-up with Ryan.
