American Idol Season 9 starts tonight

American Idol returns to our screens tonight on Fox with the two-hour audition shows from Boston and tomorrow with auditions from Atlanta. If you’re watching at UK-pace, Boston auditions air tomorrow and Atlanta auditions on Thursday at 1930 on ITV2. Ryan has completed the voice-overs for these shows and is currently filming Hollywood week with Simon, Randy, Kara and new judge Ellen DeGeneres.

After the news broke yesterday that Simon is leaving American Idol after this season to launch The X Factor in the US, Ryan tweeted to say he would have Simon on his radio show today. That should be a great interview — it’s always fun to listen to Ryan and Simon together!
